Latham Gloves was born from a single, stubborn belief: the connection between a rider's hand and their handlebar deserves the same obsessive engineering we give to frames, wheels, and drivetrains.

In 2019, Ray Lane — an amateur road racer and mechanical engineer — finished a 200km gravel event with two blistered palms and a nagging thought: why is cycling glove design still stuck in the '90s? Every other component on the bike had been re-imagined for the modern rider. Gloves had not.
Ray set up shop in his garage in La Vista, Nebraska, gathered a small circle of cycling friends, and started prototyping. Three years, 47 prototypes, and countless test rides later, the first Latham Pro Series glove shipped.
Today, Latham Gloves are worn by commuters in Copenhagen, downhill riders in British Columbia, gravel racers in Kansas, and touring cyclists across five continents. What hasn't changed: every design still starts and ends with real riders, on real rides.

Each Latham glove passes through more than 30 production steps and a three-stage quality check before it leaves the workshop. We source premium AX-Suede palms from responsible suppliers, use dual-density gels developed for pro-team use, and hand-inspect every wrist closure.
